are you kidding me? I'm a street musician, I have adults that come up to me being more disrespectful than this. If this had been my kid I would have told my kid off for doing what he was doing then kicked the shit out of the asshole that assaulted my child.

tripping a child because he walked in front of you while you were playing your tuba? unprofessional and immature. i guess people in marching bands have to do what they can to feel superior to anyone they can.

I'm curious... When he/she squatted afterward, were they performing a Halo teabag? He/She did pretty successfully own that kid. And I say the precious little snowflake deserved it. Children should learn respect... and if this kid decided to run into the middle of the formation, the parents obviously haven't taught him any. And if the parents won't smack him, it looks like the ground will. Perfect timing with the cymbal. Awesome.

Dude, ya, the kid probably should'nt be running out there... but, to trip a child an possibly cause bodily injury is a bit over the top... I would have stuffed that tube up that nerd's ass!!! Anyone know where he lives?

Assult my butt! When was the last time someone was hospitalized for falling to the ground? All we know is the short clip of what we saw. I bet that kid was running in and out of the band all throughout their performance. Finally, someone did something about it. Obviously the parents woudn't do anything and they are probably the type of people who feel that they can DO WHAT THEY WANT TO DO. The world doesn't work like that.

Assualt? If someone tried to run through a college marching band they would be lucky to reach the other side with all their teeth. Now that is assault. This kid just learned a valuable lesson. And that cymbal crash when he hit the ground was hilarious.

How did I know that the idiot permissive parents would make comments about how mean and bad the tuba guy is? Because we all know it's OK for unsupervised kids to run around and disrupt anything they want, any time they want. And the slightest move to discipline the rotten brat results in fistfights and lawsuits. Well, this tuba guy ain't playin' that game. Trip the brat, make him cry. That's what happens in the real world when you're a disruptive little prick. Deal with it.

Very nice. I suggest hiring that tuba player as a school counselor. He's got the right idea about teaching consequences for actions. And if your kid goes through that stage of life without falling on the ground and getting a scraped knee, you're too damn protective. Get over the kid, he wasn't hurt and with any luck he figured out that being a dick isn't always a good idea.

Reminds me of marching years ago in a Mardi Gras parade, where the crowds tend to get too close...our bass drummers became very accurate with their mallets to the crotches of pushy folks...as did our flag girls when they did their outward "slams"...

Too funny! I would love to know what that kid was doing prior to this video. My guess is that it was more of this bratty behavior. I just showed this to my 5-year-old, and even he said the kid was being rude by running through the band! This was a good object lesson for my kid about actions and consequences....and a good long laugh for me! :)

To the whiny "compassion" people: Kids =/= glass. This one didn't even cry. My brother did worse to me on a daily basis.
